A woman's reproductive system is her seat of power. When energy here is kept in a healthy state a woman's health has equilibrium. Hatha Yoga is practiced to cultivate this state. Emma Balnaves, Shadow Yoga.
It is essential for a pregnant woman to maintain her physical and mental well-being to ensure sound health for her and her baby.
Classes focus on creating space for mother and baby allowing passage for prana (life force) to exist.
Increased circulation of blood and fluids, rhythmic breathing, healthy legs and a strong supple spine and body is cultivated through the application of bodily positions.
Students apply Ujjayi breathing which relaxes the nervous system, centres the mind and supports the body.
Classes conclude with relaxation and are conducted in a warm and supported environment.

“I started yoga at 10 weeks pregnant and have enjoyed every class. The vibe of the class is really positive and its lovely to be with other mums. Thankyou so much for providing this class. See you after the baby is born.” Megan
“Your pregnancy yoga classes were great. I initially attended thinking that the classes would be useful preparation for labour. As I had hoped for, I had a natural drug free labour which I attribute in part to the breathing and stretching techniques learnt from yoga. Also, I found the classes to be very helpful by teaching me positions to find comfort and relief during my pregnancy. With thanks.” Janet
