A woman’s reproductive system is her seat of power. When energy here is kept in a healthy state a woman’s health has equilibrium. Hatha Yoga is practiced to cultivate this state.

Pre-natal classes at Yoga Moves focus on creating space in the body for the free movement of Prana (life-force). This facilitates the circulation of blood and movement of fluids, which supports the growing baby as well as the health and functioning of the mother’s digestive and other organs. Classes consist of a combination of standing (Karana) and seated (Asana) activities designed to cultivate powerful legs, a strong and supple spine and rhythmic breathing. Ujjayi breathing is taught, which relaxes the nervous system and centres the mind. Classes regularly conclude with relaxation.
Pre-natal students at Yoga Moves will benefit from the support of the teacher, who takes an interest in the wellbeing of each woman. Attention is paid to each woman’s stage and circumstance of pregnancy. Poses are adapted as the body changes and the baby grows. Classes are conducted in a warm, supporting environment.
Casual Class cost: $25
